Litter Expected from Maddie and Glen - (expected 20th May 08 - Ready Mid July 08)

Maddie (expectant mother).

Maddie and Glen are both ISDS registered working sheepdogs.

Maddie has the most powerful work drive of all our dogs. Having said that, she's one of the most obedient and quick to learn.

She's clearly the pack leader here and takes the role very seriously but never abuses her power.

Maddie is an extremely able sheepdog who, rather like our Mel, loves to work hard and play hard too. Her intelligence never ceases to amaze us. Failure doesn't seem to be in her vocabulary! Rest assured, if the mating is a success and you want a Maddie / Glen pup, you'll be in the queue behind us as we intend to keep a dog pup from this mating!

Glen is in retirement now, after a very successful trials career. He became available to us after winning his way out of the Nursery classes in the East of England and he soon notched up several novice wins, and became Moreton Morrell Novice Champion.

His finest hour was at a large open trial at Malvern (Worcestershire) when he led the field by a big margin from 10 am until early evening, when he was pushed into fourth place by some late-arriving international trials competitors. He had to make do with winning the Novice Class on that day.

Glen's temperament is just perfect - everyone loves Glen, he's a perfect gentleman and he loves everyone, including children. Now that he's retired, Glen's only duty is as stud dog, so recently, he's developed a passion for chewing bones and playing with puppies or toys!

Time to Go
The puppies will be ISDS (International Sheep Dog Society) Registered. They will be eye tested at 6 weeks and ready to leave here at 8 weeks. Maddie and the pups will be properly wormed with Panacur liquid in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

Our pups are fed on Beta Puppy Junior - Lamb and Rice flavour (not soaked) and we encourage the mother to feed them naturally for as long as she's willing. (Normally 6 weeks or more).
